Coming to you from Kristi Odom with B&H Photo and Video, this helpful video tutorial features five great tips for better bird photography. One tip that I really appreciated is the importance of being willing to shoot in inclement conditions. No doubt, there are not many of us who enjoy sitting in the rain and cold, and protecting our equipment from the elements is another step to deal with as well. However, bad weather can often produce more interesting images, with dramatic skies providing looks we are not used to, raindrops providing shimmer, and more. Even more so, simply capturing animals interacting with the elements can provide uniquely compelling photos simply because most of those we are used to seeing involve nicer conditions. Just be sure to bundle up so you stay warm and dry! Check out the video above for the full rundown from Odom.
