A Look at the New Sigma 24mm f/1.4 DG DN Art Lens

Sigma’s latest two lenses, the 20mm f/1.4 DG DN Art and 24mm f/1.4 DG DN Art, continue the Art series custom in that they provide sharp and impressive image quality while significantly undercutting the prices of many first-party options. Coming to you from Dustin Abbott, this excellent video review takes a look at the 24mm f/1.4 DG DN Art lens. 24mm f/1.4 lenses are prized for a lot of applications, as they provide a very wide (though not extremely so) angle of view in tandem with a wide aperture, making them excellent for anything from astrophotography to events coverage. The new Sigma version comes with a variety of features, including:

  • 17 elements in 14 groups, including two FLD elements, one SLD element, and four aspherical elements
  • Manual focus lock and aperture ring lock
