Description

The Atomos Shinobi II 5.2″ HDMI HDR Monitor is designed with the vlogger, photographer and content creator. Multiple feature improvements have been made over the previous generation Atomos Shinobi.

Some major improvements to the Atomos Shinobi II 5.2″ HDMI HDR Monitor include, a slimmer and lighter design, a 50% brighter display sitting at 1500 cd/m². USB-C camera control with status indicators for Canon, Sony, Panasonic and Z CAM.

The Shinobi II additionally features the newly developed AtomOS 11 interface, USB-C PD power I/O, a locking HDMI and USB-C adapter and updated imagery tools. Battery usage on the Atomos Shinobi II 5.2″ HDMI HDR Monitor is much lower than the predecessor, this makes it possible for you to run the monitor all day on a single battery.

Camera Control

On the Atomos Shinobi II 5.2″ HDMI HDR Monitor, you can make use of the USB-C port to provide control to the latest mirrorless or DSLR cameras from Canon, Panasonic, Sony, and Z CAM E2 Line. Expanding the control compatibility, you will also find a 2.5mm LANC port on the side.

Camera Status

AtomOS 11 and Advanced Image Tools

Use the Shinobi II Monitor interface to adjust your camera lenses’ aperture, shutter speed/angle, and ISO with its built-in exposure tools, such as false colour, waveforms, zebras, or histogram, and achieve perfect exposure on every shot.

Brighter Display

With 1500 cd/m² peak brightness, the screen on this Shinobi is easily readable whether indoors, or in bright sunlight. The screen is approximately 50% brighter than the predecessor.

Input Signals

The Atomos Shinobi II 5.2″ HDMI HDR Monitor features an HDMI 1.4 input making it possible for you to monitor signals in various resolutions and frame rates up to DCI/UHD and up to 1080p60.

HDR and LUT Support

HDR HLG and HDR PQ modes allow you to preview what the camera LOG might look like in HDR. Up to eight custom LUTs can be uploaded to the internal memory to preview.

Frame Guides

A variety of built-in cinema-style and social media-focused frame guides help compose your shots, including presets for 2.41, 2.35, 1.91, 1.9, 1.85, 16:9, 9:16, 4:5, 2:3, 1:1, 5:4, 4:3, 3:2.

Lightweight Design

You will find a slimmer design monitor only weighing in at 210g along with added locating holes alongside the 1/4″-20 threads, these allow for an anti-twist mounting design. The single L-Series battery plate is placed in the centre of the monitor increasing ease of manoeuvrability and improving balance.
