Description

Bushnell 8×42 R7 ED Binoculars (Ranger Green)

Configured with plenty of magnification and the most popular-sized front lenses, the Bushnell 8×42 R7 ED Binoculars feature premium optics, a steady view, and good low-light performance. Between the fully multicoated extra-low dispersion glass lenses, the phase-corrected, dielectric-coated BAK4 prisms, and the field flattener design, you can expect an image with clarity and contrast from edge to edge. The lenses also feature EXO barrier coatings to repel water and dirt, while the IPX7-waterproof housing is nitrogen-filled to prevent internal fogging from condensation. You can use an optional adapter for a tripod and the binoculars come with the Vault Lite chest pack and harness for a secure, comfortable carry.

Optical Performance
  • 8x magnification shows the details of far-off targets but is less prone to shaking than higher powered optics
  • 42mm objective lenses draw in ample light for bright views
  • Sweeping 425-foot field of view at 1000 yards
  • Five-foot close focus distance for nearby subjects of interest
  • Fully ultra-wideband antireflection coated extra-low dispersion glass for optimal light transmission
  • Field flattener design creates sharp focus at image edge
  • Compact Schmidt-Pechan prism light path ensures the optical tubes remain slim for easy handling
  • BAK4 prism glass is phase-corrected and dielectric coated
  • Proprietary EXO Barrier exterior lens coatings allow removing oil, dirt, and sap without leaving smudges or residue
Use and Handling
  • Open-bridge configuration provides comfortable grip and holds down weight
  • Three interchangeable rubber eyecups: low for eyeglass wearers, high for non-wearers, winged to block light and wind
  • Large, slip-resistant center focusing wheel is easy to manipulate in cold and wet weather, even while wearing gloves
  • Right-eye locking dioptric correction allows user to compensate for optical prescription to produce sharper views
  • Adapter socket allows mounting to tripod head or QR plate with optional adapter for hands-free use
Construction Details
  • Nitrogen-filled to be resistant to internal fogging when moving through extreme changes in temperature and environmental conditions
  • IPX7-rated waterproof
  • Chest pack, neck strap, and cleaning cloth provided
