The DJI Osmo Mobile 8P Standard Combo is a three-axis smartphone gimbal designed to provide you with a stabilised video, along with support for subject tracking during mobile phone recording. Some added features to the OM 8P include a built-in tripod and extension rod for extended shooting positions without the need for additional accessories.
The Osmo Mobile 8P range features updates in terms of tracking, control and camera movement. As opposed to the restricted range of the pan rotation in previous models, the OM8P offers unlimited 360° pan rotation to allow for continuous horizontal motion during recording.
You are now also able to enable subject tracking within native and third-party apps with support for Apple DockKit to extend use beyond the DJI Mimo App.
On the body of the Osmo Mobile 8P, you will find the Osmo FrameTap, which is a detachable remote that displays a mirrored live view as from the connected smartphone. This allows for framing, subject selection and tracking control without the need to be close to the OM 8 P handle. The remote attaches magnetically to the handle or can be used independently, maintaining a stable connection during operation.
ActiveTrack 8.0, which is only available within the Mimo App, has also been updated to enable automatic subject tracking. Your expected battery life has also been extended to last for up to 10 hours on a single full charge.
