This drive features a USB 3.0 Type-C interface and includes both a USB 3.0 Type-C cable and a USB 3.0 Type-C to Type-A cable. The reversible USB 3.0 Type-C cable can be used whether it is oriented right-side up or upside down and the USB 3.0 Type-C to Type-A cable allows this drive to be used on systems that are equipped with USB Type-A.

This G-DRIVE mobile also features data transfer speeds of up to 136 MB/s, a rotational speed of 7200 rpm, and it operates using bus power provided by its USB Type-C interface, meaning that no external power is required. While this drive ships as preformatted for Mac OS 10.9+ and is compatible with Apple’s Time Machine, a simple reformat allows use with Windows 10, 8.1, and 7.
