Description

The new flagship OM SYSTEM OM-1 Mirrorless Camera provides the perfect combination between image quality, portability, speed, and reliability.
The OM – 1 is characterized by the Micro Four Thirds platform, combining outstanding performance in stills as well as 4K video recording.

The SYSTEM M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-40mm f/2.8 PRO II Lens is designed to offer exceptional image quality in any situation. Being compact and lightweight with wide to a portrait-length zoom lens is a 24-80mm equivalent lens designed to be used with compatible Micro Four Thirds Mirrorless Cameras.

OM SYSTEM OM-1 Mirrorless Camera

20MP Stacked Sensor and TruePic X

Micro Four Thirds BSI Live MOS Sensor

Built into the new flagship, the SYSTEM Mirrorless Camera is a newly designed 20.4MP Micro Four Thirds Live MOS sensor. Featuring a stacked BSI design offering improved speeds, lower noise levels, and greater dynamic range than the previous designs.
This 20.4MP Micro Four Thirds Sensor truly comes to its worth, especially at higher ISO’s with the structure of the sensor you will find exceptionally improved noise performance by two stops and dynamic range by one stop.

TruePic X Processor

For faster and more responsive shooting the SYSTEM Mirrorless Camera offers the TruePic X for three times faster processing along with 120 fs sensor readouts. The sensor also offers an ISO range of 200-102400 which is expandable down to an ISO of 80.
Continuous shooting up to 10 fps with full-time AF/AE and a buffer of 169 raw frames when working with a mechanical shutter. If working with a silent electronic shutter, 20 fps shooting is possible with full-time AF/AE and a buffer of 108 raw frames. SH1 and SH2 are blackout-free high-speed shooting modes, offering rates up to 120 fps without AF/AE in SH1 and 50 fps with AF/AE in SH2.

Cross Quad Pixel AF and AI Detection

The 20.4MP Stacked Sensor features a unique design employing on-sensor phase-detection AF using a Cross Quad Pixel system that splits each pixel into four sub-pixels, making the sensor easier to adopt to focusing in tricky lighting conditions. An autofocusing system performs at up to 120 fps suitable for all recording methods, with 1053 individual points fully covering the sensor.
The Cross Quad Pixel AF structure along with the colour contrast information gathered from the sensor assist in subject tracking and detection. Using AI, this focusing system can automatically detect a range of subject types, like cars, motorcycles, aeroplanes, helicopters, trains, birds, dogs, cats, and humans, as well as faces and eyes. And, compared to earlier iterations of this focusing system, improved processing now makes focusing performance 2x more accurate and 3x faster.

5-Axis Image Stabilization

The SYSTEM Mirrorless Camera provides for 5-axis image stabilisation providing compensation for up to 8 stops of camera shake, providing use of longer shutter speeds for when the SYSTEM Mirrorless Camera is used in handheld positions.
Handheld Assist relies on this stabilization technology for more stable framing, making it easier to use with long focal length lenses. Furthermore, when using additional shooting modes, such as High Res Shot Modes, Handheld Live Compensate, and an advanced dust reduction system, the in-body image stabilisation also assist.

DCI/UHD 4K Video Recording

With DCI/UHD 4K video recording is possible at up to 60p and 10-bit 4:2:0 sampling. The SYSTEM  Mirrorless Camera enables you to record to frame rates of up to 240 fps for slow-motion playback.
For external recording, 12-bit raw is supported via a micro-HDMI port. When post-production is needed the HLG picture mode permits in-camera HDR recording and an OM-Log gamma.

Reliable, Adventure-Ready Design

EVF and LCD

The electronic viewfinder features a 5.76m-dot OLED panel, offering a bright and clear means for eye-level monitoring. The finder has a 0.83x-equivalent magnification, a 21mm eyepoint, and a 120 fps refresh rate for realistic motion rendering.
3.0″ 1.62m-dot LCD touchscreen features a vari-angle design with 270° of swivel to suit working from high, low and front-facing angles.

Durable, Weather-Sealed Build

The SYSTEM Mirrorless Camera provides for up to 400,000 shutter activations. And a lightweight magnesium alloy body provides a camera that is dust- as well as splash-resistant. Featuring an IP53 rating for working in inclement weather conditions.

Practical and Intuitive Handling

The SYSTEM Mirrorless Camera employs the new SYSTEM BLX-1 battery providing up to 520 shots on a single charge. Not only can the battery be charged via the USB Type-C port, but also a connected USB power bank.
With dual UHS-II SD memory card slots for flexible file saving, as well as making in-camera file backups, splitting file types, or just having spare memory on hand for overflow storage. Separate AEL and AF-ON buttons offer better control over camera functions and settings.
Bluetooth and Wi-Fi (5 and 2.4GHz) allow wireless file transferring and remote control over the camera via the OI.Share app for mobile devices.

OM SYSTEM M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-40mm f/2.8 PRO II Lens

The SYSTEM M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-40mm f/2.8 PRO II Lens is compact and lightweight with wide to a portrait-length zoom lens is a 24-80mm equivalent lens designed to be used with compatible Micro Four Thirds Mirrorless Cameras.
A consistent f/2.8 maximum aperture provides you with consistent low-light performance as well as focus control throughout the zoom range.

The SYSTEM M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-40mm f/2.8 PRO II Lens employs two Ed (extra-low dispersion) elements, two aspherical elements, one DSA (dual super aspherical) element, one EDA extra-low dispersion aspherical element, one HD element, and two HR (high-refractive index) elements. All of this is to minimize aberrations, distortion, and colour fringing throughout the entire zoom range while improving overall image quality.

The ZERO (Zuiko extra-low reflection optical) coating provides lower lens flare and improved colour quality, especially in strong lighting conditions. You are able to get close up shots of your subjects as well as a high-speed movie and still autofocus system you are able to get fast, smooth and silent focusing performance.

With the rounded 7 blade diaphragm it is possible to produce smooth and beautiful bokeh.
The SYSTEM M.Zuiko Digital ED 12-40mm f/2.8 PRO II Lens additionally employs a weather-sealed coating protecting the lens from dust, moisture and grease as well as a fluorine lens coating for further protection.
