Description

The Sigma 35mm f/1.4 DG DN Art Lens for Sony E is an updated classic wide-angle Art Lens, characterised by its updated and advanced optical and bright design. Shallow depth of field effects is achieved by its f1.4 maximum aperture enabling working in low-light conditions and also providing increased control over depth of field.

The optical design layout incorporates two SLD Special-Low Dispersion, one ELD Extra-Low Dispersion, and one FLD Low Dispersion element. Additionally, the Sigma 35mm f/1.4 Art Lens incorporates two aspherical elements and high reflective index elements, achieving a high degree of clarity and sharpness with well-controlled distortion and aberrations. This lens has a Super Multi-Layer Coating applied, to reduce flare and ghosting for greater contrast.

Quick and quiet Autofocus performance is achieved with the stepping motor which can be de-clicked or locked, making this lens well suited for both video and photo applications. Enhanced tactility is achieved by a manual aperture ring and all-metal barrel construction.

Furthermore, the Sigma 35mm f/1.4 DG DN Art Lens for Sony E features a rounded eleven-blade diaphragm for smooth bokeh, as well as a weather-sealed housing making this lens well suited to be used in almost any condition.

  • The Sigma 35mm f/1.4 lens is designed for Sony E-Mount mirrorless cameras, but it can also be used with APS-C models if it provides a 52.5mm equivalent focal length.
  • The bright f/1.4 maximum aperture is particularly well suited for working in available light conditions and provides extensive control over depth of field for isolating subject matter with selective focus.
  • Lens Construction: 15 elements in 11 groups, including one FLD low-dispersion element, one ELD extra-low dispersion element, two SLD special-low dispersion elements, and two aspherical elements.
  • Quick and quiet Autofocus performance is achieved with the stepping motor which can be de-clicked or locked, making this lens well suited for both video and photo applications.
  • This 35mm f/1.4 has a Super Multi-Layer Coating applied, to reduce flare and ghosting for greater contrast. Additionally, a resistance coating allows oil and water to easily be wiped off from the lens and prevents stains on the glass.
