The Canon Eos 250D is Fantastic but…

Why is the Canon Eos 250D so popular in a time when mirrorless cameras seem to be the only cameras that anybody is interested in?

It Is The Best DSLR Option For Beginners

The Canon 250D has the best guide mode on the market. For first-time photographers, this will make photography a whole lot easier and fun to learn. The camera is also easy to use with buttons that are easily accessible for the most commonly used settings by new photographers.

Connectivity With a Twist

The Canon 250D has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth like almost all DSLRs. But it allows for a constant Bluetooth low-energy connection to your smart device. The camera can transfer images the instant they are taken at full resolution by automatically switching to Wi-Fi.

Easy to Take Anywhere

How many times have you heard someone say that the best camera is the one that you have with you? One of the most presented advantages of mirrorless cameras is their size. The Canon Eos 250D is hardly bigger than Canon’s APSC Mirrorless camera options. It is small enough to take everywhere but not so small that you will feel like you can not grip or use it properly.

The body is almost all plastic which makes the camera really light, but it is well-built and you can feel the quality when you use it.

Best Live View Mode

Most Photographers prefer to use the viewfinder when shooting. But the Live View mode on the Canon 250D is fantastic and it will become your mode of choice when using this camera.

The Live View mode uses the Dual Pixel CMOS Auto Focus system with over 3900 focus points. There is no other camera in this price range that offers this level of focusing performance.

The camera also has a fully articulated 3-inch touch screen with 1,040,000 dot resolution. No angle or composition is impossible.

Battery Life, Battery Life and more Battery Life

The Canon Eos 250D has a battery life of over 1000 shots when using the optical view finder. This is a massive 700 photos more than the Canon Eos M6 II or Canon Eos M50 Mirror-Less options. You will never run out of battery in the middle of an important shoot or a day of photographic fun.

What about Video?

The Canon Eos 250D shoots 4k resolution at 25p. For most of us that prefer the manageable file sizes of 1080 resolution the camera can shoot 1080 video at 60p. The camera has a 3.5mm jack to allow for an external microphone. The video features should keep the vloggers among us more than happy.

The camera has only 9 AF points when shooting through the viewfinder. Canon clearly considers Live View mode to be the consumer’s preference and has not put much effort towards the focus system when using the viewfinder.

When this is the only “but” that you can find when discussing a camera you know that you have a fantastic camera.

The Canon Eos 250D is a great all-round camera and a pleasure to use. If you are a beginner photographer or videographer this is an option you should seriously consider.
