But the mark of a successful photographer is a readily identifiable style that unifies all their work as one. So, why do so many photographers struggle to develop a style? It can be difficult to think about more long-term goals like this, but it is really crucial if you want to make your work readily identifiable above the din of a crowded marketplace. This is why so many top-level professionals constantly talk about the importance of personal projects and always carving out time for them. When you are doing work for clients, you generally are not going to get a lot of latitude to explore creative ideas, as they will be expecting specific images.
